CRESSON, PA – Ryan Frantz hit a school-record 9 three-pointers and scored a career-high 31 points in a huge conference win for La Roche on Wednesday night. The Redhawks (12-8, 10-3) beat Mt. Aloysius (13-7, 9-4) 94-78 to sweep the season series.

La Roche took control of the game midway through the first half with a 10-0 run. Tough team defense by the Redhawks sparked the run and a three-point play by Lionel Perkins and a deep three-pointer from David Jackson highlighted it.

Frantz and the Redhawk offense continued to click in the second half. La Roche shot 58% from the field and made 6 of 12 threes in the final frame.

Frantz led all scorers with 31 points and he went 11 for 20 from the field.  His 9 three-pointers broke his own record of 8 which he set last season against Penn State Altoona. Jackson chipped in 9 points and finished with 12 rebounds to move into second place on La Roche's all-time rebounding list. Andre Flanigan contributed 11 points, 5 assists, and 4 steals and Daron Tabronadded 4 assists. Perkins scored 16 points in the win.

The Redhawks had their best shooting night of the season hitting 51% (32 of 63) of their shots from the field, 52% (14 of 27) from behind the arc, and 94% (16 of 17) from the free throw line. La Roche's 94 points in the most they have scored this season and the most Mt. Aloysius has allowed in a non-overtime game.

La Roche men's basketball will travel to Pitt-Bradford on Saturday for a 3:00PM tip-off. The Panthers currently sit one game out of a playoff spot but are coming off a 65-53 win over D'Youville.
